HARSH MOMENTS


Have you ever gotten to a phase in your life that everything seems harsh? I mean, things happening that ordinarily doesn't happen to you?

Probably, you are cumbered with more responsibilities or workload. This is not what you're familiar with and you find yourself struggling with it.

Or maybe you're in a situation that's choking.

And at this stage, you consider it harsh because you don't know how to go about it.

Well, I have a word for you.

ENGAGE WITH GOD
In our last article, I discussed about the help of God and engaging it in your life when you're at your weakest. It's true that at some point in your life, you'll be downcast with worries and challenges of life. At this point, you'll feel like throwing in the towel because of how it has so burdened you but this moment is when you should go to the One who is able to see you through it all.
Engage with God. Draw closer to Him.

Feelings of incompetence and frustration shouldn't outweigh the feelings of pushing through it.

I got to a phase in my life where I literally felt stuck and helpless. With my academics, relationship with God, and every sector of my life, but I had to call on God for help cause I knew it was more than me. 

Call on God for help now.

ADJUST
This is the case whereby you find yourself in a level or phase in your life you haven't been before. Maybe extra activities you must add up to your routine based on it's importance or extra responsibilities you must take up or engaging something new which seems scary to embark on...what you have to do is to adjust.

While adjusting, pray to God for wisdom and strength to carry it out.

I can literally imagine how it was for Abraham to adjust when God told him to leave his father's house and everything he once knew to a totally strange land. He obeyed regardless of the inconvenience, the fear of the unknown and what his outcome might be. He trusted God as he adjusted to that reality.

Adjust!

The fact you're experiencing new stuffs going in your life and most times scary shows you're actually growing. If you're experiencing a particular thing all the time, it shows stagancy is hovering around you. You're not improving.

But when situations stretch you, it stretches you to bring out the best in you.

No man grows, develop, improve or wax great by being in a particular spot. 

Infact, when you're used to a spot, you'll find it very difficult to take steps outside that zone. You'll be afraid to embark on new journeys.

So these challenges and problems comes to teach and push you.

You can never know what you can do until something pushes you to do it.

So, you don't need to be hopeless or frustrated. Just learn what that situation or struggle you're in is teaching you.

Beckon on Jesus for strength and lean on Him. You can do all things through Jesus who strengthens you.

Don't rely on your strength but His.
Don't trust in your wisdom or what you know but His.

When you go to Him, He supplies you what is needed to go through that phase.

In conclusion:
I want you to understand this;
Solving problems makes you wiser. Going through burdensome and straining situations makes you stronger.

Sometimes, we pray for wisdom and strength from God but He allows these things as answers to our prayers. And if you're not discerning enough, you'll think God doesn't care and allows you to suffer. 

No! 

He isn't MAKING YOU SUFFER. Rather He's MAKING YOU GREAT (stronger, wiser, bigger, etc).

So, what you're going through isn't HARSH MOMENTS but HATCHING MOMENTS. Something new is hatching within you that will add beauty to your life.

Know this and know peace.

SHUT THAT WINDOW

There are reasons the windows of your house is meant to be shut, even if not completely. There should be limited access into the house. It helps prevent unwanted things from creeping into the house. NAKED BEHIND THE TREES

It didn't take long before they realized what had happened after they had their first bite.  " I'm naked, I don't want anyone especially God to see me like this. He may condemn, criticize or judge me." KEPT AWAY FROM GOD, YET UNNOTICED

Times will come in your life when you feel you're not good enough. It happens a lot. But the issue isn't the feeling itself but how you handle it. Last Sunday's service sparked in my memory an experience I had with a cultist few months back.
