THE LOVE BEING

If I tell you, l love you, yet my actions doesn't show it, would you believe me?  I curse at you, devise evil against you, always retaliate with hurtful deeds and do all manner of stuff against you, tell me, what will be your thought or action when I tell you I love you? Assuredly, you'll be full of grievances and anger at the sound of it and you'll ask yourself, what kind of love is that? But directly or indirectly, that's what many of us practice today even amongst christians. We say we love our neighbor just as God's word commands yet do lots of unspeakable things against them. Love is more of actions/deeds than words. Even God had to show His love for mankind by giving Jesus. It's a basic principle which should be seen in your relation with others. We'll be looking into that now but first, let's see who a LOVE BEING  is? Scripture says: "And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love and He who abides in lov...

THE CULTURE OF 'HEAVENIANS'

The world in which we live comprises of varying culture structures; every nation or tribe with its uniquely different cultures. Culture is simply the custom, belief, behavior of a particular group of people that is passed down from one generation to another. It includes language, music, food, fashion (dress pattern or attire) and even family structures. An example of the diversity of cultures is this: In east Asia, it's very common for multitude of generations to live together under one roof but individualism is very common in west Asia where adult children move out from their parents. That's how different cultures can be. But today, I'm talking about a divine culture. It is the CULTURE OF THE KINGDOM. Only those that identifies themselves with Christ, His ways and His kingdom are eligible to bear that identity. Just like I earlier defined, culture has to do with the behavior/custom and beliefs of a group of people. So, as citizens of the kingdom of God who has ...

M.A.D— MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Have you made plans of going beyond your present self (positively) and current feat? Have you ever thought of going beyond the norms society set as standard, or exceed that which is expected of you by family and peers? Daily, we're pressurized to take decisions according to norms (either tradition, set of rules and philosophies, etc) and most times, we fallaciously believe that those norms will bring us both fulfillment and satisfaction. In as much as those standard aren't wrong in itself, it will only bring out little of all God has in you. It won't only limit your potentials but will make you comfortable with less which will eventually make you leave this world not fulfilled according to God's benchmark of fulfillment... and that's not good for you. Daniel was an example of a person who made a difference in his time even as a young person. There was just this thing that made him different from his age grades. He grew up to be placed as a governor and w...

ATTAINING HOLINESS PART2

Last week, I expounded on sowing and reaping. And like in every other segment of life that promise returns to whatever that is sown, Holiness and corruption isn't left out. Refreshing our memory on last week's blog, I quoted a scripture.  Galatians 6:8;  "For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." Based on this scripture, it is clear that what you sow into gives back to you, just as the soil gives back a tree from a seed planted no matter how little the structure of the seed is. It must surely return something bigger. In the same vein, when you sow sin to your flesh, your same flesh gives back to you corruption. When you sow to the spirit, however, the Holy Spirit embodies it and gives you, not just Holiness but everlasting life. Without further ado, let's look at HOW TO SOW INTO YOUR SPIRIT. For ages now and even in the christian body, many have built upon th...

ATTAINING HOLINESS

I'm certainly sure you reading this understands the obvious concept of sowing and reaping. And I'm twice sure it has happened to you, one way or another. It's no new thing to you when I say "whatever you sow, you will also reap". It's not just a philosophy, it's not just karma, it's also the Word of God. Delving deeper and comparing it with attaining Holiness, let's look at a popular scripture. "Do not be be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man does, that he will also reap".  (Galatians 6:7) . It is known by this truth and people's experiences that you can't reap where you didn't sow. You can't get a return of something you never invested in. It's a simple law of life. A farmer can't harvest fruits at the end of a season without planting seeds of that fruit prior to that harvesting season. That farmer will be seen as a joke expecting such. And just like that, you can never reap anything when ...

IS GOD IN YOUR LABOUR?

How do you feel when you labour so hard to achieve something only to get little or no result at all? The business you worked hard to build, your career or job you invested so much of your time, the ministry you labour to build day and night or any other pursuit you desire progress and worked hard to see grow crumbles or stays stagnant. All your efforts is yielding no fruit or sometimes, little fruits. It's painful, right? Well, I saw something in God's word that can cause you to see the results you so much yearn for when embarking on your purpose journey or working on an endeavor. It's called DIVISION OF LABOUR. Yes, division of labour is taught in economics but it is in God's word too. In economics, we were taught that division of labor is the assigning of different tasks to different people, which increases productivity and ultimately profits which will eventually lead to economic and monetary gains. Division of labour doesn't only make a large work br...

HARSH MOMENTS

Have you ever gotten to a phase in your life that everything seems harsh? I mean, things happening that ordinarily doesn't happen to you? Probably, you are cumbered with more responsibilities or workload. This is not what you're familiar with and you find yourself struggling with it. Or maybe you're in a situation that's choking. And at this stage, you consider it harsh because you don't know how to go about it. Well, I have a word for you. ENGAGE WITH GOD In our last article, I discussed about the help of God and engaging it in your life when you're at your weakest. It's true that at some point in your life, you'll be downcast with worries and challenges of life. At this point, you'll feel like throwing in the towel because of how it has so burdened you but this moment is when you should go to the One who is able to see you through it all. Engage with God. Draw closer to Him.  You can read up that article, THE HELP OF GOD  here . Feeling...

THE HELP OF GOD

Things weren't working and I knew I needed help; help beyond me and man. It was beyond what man could do for me or what I could do for myself. Then I sought and cried for it in prayers to God.  This great need for help made me search scriptures. I came across some key verses that brought me comfort and understanding that helped me. And that is what I want to share with you incase you're going through a tough time. Everyone in this life experience a phase whereby he/she literally feels cornered or can't move any step further. Human weaknesses and inabilities, failed attempt to meet expectations, incompetence, delay, failures or pressing needs cripples at that very stage. And the one thing you think of is HELP greater than that which your own strength can endorse. However, when you find yourself in this despondent situation of loosing hope or strength, remember this: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord ...

LEFT THE TRACK

He left the track. He missed it. What was after his soul finally took him away and caused him to go off course.  Too many distractions and fancy, alluring activities in this fun fare world we live in are being presented to us on daily basis. This same world took Demas out of track which made him abandon God, his mentor/spiritual guide, and his purpose.  "For Demas, having loved [the pleasures of] this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica...." (2 Timothy 4:10 AMP) As a steward of Christ under apostle Paul, Demas served God and the church but on the long run, he fell in love and got carried away by it like a young man who went in with a prostitute. Now, check yourself... What made you forsook God and His ways? Is it because of your new clique of friends, the new environment you find yourself? is it money, relationships, social media and trends, or church activities/religion (Yes, you can be engaged with church yet Jesus is ignored in your life)....

HEALTHY PAIN

Would you agree with me that continuous and instant pleasure is doing you more harm than good? Would you accept that your comfort zone is actually a zone meant to restrict substantial progress in your life? Just patiently read through this article to catch the palpable insight. I call this article HEALTHY PAIN for a reason. You know, when we hear the word pain , we look for ways to skip it because it interprets an unpleasant and 'not-so' soothing feeling to us. Nevertheless, the pain which I'm speaking of is the pain that brings out gold of potentials, diamonds of solutions in form of ideas and inventions. Whatever that's so valuable will cost you a whole lot which endorse pain. Either through discipline of denying yourself pleasure or sacrificing what you should be enjoying now (present gratification).  Say success in any endeavor, wealth, fame/power,  even the anointing; literally everything good in life has a price attached. To be a successful person in y...
