THE ESSENCE OF LIGHT

What's the first thing that comes to your mind the moment you hear the word "Light"? 

A substance that eradicates darkness at its presence?

A source that brings illumination like the brightness of the sun? 

Or maybe the power supply given in our homes?

Whatever definition you give it doesn't really define the meaning of the Light. I mean the true Light. There are lights; with diverse form or appearance but there is a TRUE LIGHT.

In as much as every human needs the physical light we see either produced by the sun, the moon, or electricity, every human needs this TRUE LIGHT. You have to know it else your life will revolve continually in perpertual darkness and disaster. This darkness might not be the one you see with your physical eyes but I can assure you that it is the most dangerous.

When I talk about the light, I'm not talking about the artificial light like the electric bulb, a torch, an oil lamp, a candle, a fluorescent tube, etc. I'm not even talking of the natural source of light such as the sun, the stars, fire or electricity during storms.

I'm talking of the EXTRA ORDINARY that has no usual source.

Without a doubt, we all need these diverse types of light but without this TRUE LIGHT, our lives are nothing and suffering from a great deficiency.

I want to paint a picture of what I mean. Just stay with me.

Imagine the sequencial and orderly format of how creation came into existence.

The heaven were created.

The earth were created.

But one of it had a fault. (The earth to be precise). 

It hasn't yet manifested the intention of the Creator. God willed and planned for something more. Something much more glorious and beautiful. Something that meets His taste.

Bible says in Genesis 1 that the earth was without form and void. In other words, it had no shape, no revelance, no substance, totally empty and in a total detestable state.

I can imagine the Holy Spirit saying, "something ought to be done" as He was hovering upon the face of the deep. 

He knew what to do but something ought to be first introduced into the earth before any other thing can be made.

What happened?

He introduced LIGHT.

Absolutely nothing can ever happen even the glorious plan for earth until LIGHT was first introduced.

Mind you, the light wasn't from the sun. The sun was created later on in the 14th verse of that scripture (Genesis 1). Light illuminated but it was without a substantial source. This kind was out of the ordinary.

The LIGHT solved one of the greatest problem of the unfinished project. It eradicated the "darkness upon the face of the deep. And then, the work began.

Now, liken this to your life. Try to compare this scenario with your life.

Every human being including you reading this article is an unfinished project. Like a work that needs to be totally perfected and finetuned to be an exact replica of God's perfect will. 

But before any work can make any progress and become beautiful and glorious. It first needs the Light.

Before purpose, there should be LIGHT

Before tasting fulfilment, you need to taste the LIGHT. 

Before getting formed and filled with so much wealth of value and and for it to manifest too, you must first have an encounter with the LIGHT.

Watch men of great and positive relevance in scripture and even in our past and present generation, you will find men who encountered LIGHT. The true LIGHT.

Let's go back to our imaginative scene about creation.

Nothing was done until Light came forth, right?

At its first state, there was nothing to make out of it judging by human understanding. But look now...

You're still in the earth now, right? 

Yes!

So look and observe.

The earth is the most valued of all eight planets (They said it's eight now not nine). In it contains what you might not have imagine would be found here. So much wealth of natural resources are everywhere. What about nature itself?

Earth is the only planet in the solar system that can host life according to science, which is true.

From none relevant to highly valued by God. If not for any other thing but for God's presence and God's likeness to dwell here has already placed the tag "highly valued" on it.

So dear friend, You want to experience so a great transformation in your life, one that men will marvel at, first receive this LIGHT.

That's when God fully comes in and begin to work in you His perfect will.

The LIGHT is like an invitation and order for the work to begin. The LIGHT gives a life... your life, a purpose and essence.

Please, don't neglect this LIGHT.

One may ask, "what is this light anyway?"

Well, it is not a "what" but a "who". The LIGHT is Christ Jesus. Jesus says in John 12:46, "I have come as a Light into the world that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness".

Truly, we live in a world totally submerged by spiritual darkness but arrayed with artificial light. 

But which is more important?

The natural and artificial or the spiritual. Yes, we need all but we shouldn't forget to prioritize the most essential amongst all.

If all around your house is light of diverse colours and types, if you love staying in an environment that has the streets and every corner bathed with different types of light without acknowledging and receiving the most important, I tell you, your life needs serious help which obviously, only that light can give.

In a dark world, we need a superior LIGHT that can outshine every darkness in other to win.

Only those with this LIGHT can have their lives and destinies shaped into the exact replica of God's will. And also, only them can become light themselves.

Remember what Matthew says, "you are the light of the world..." and this is only for those who has opened themselves up to know this LIGHT and carry it.

"While you have the light, believe in the light that you may become sons of the light". (John12:36). 

The benefit won't just be for you alone but for others as well.

You'll have your own life transformed and that of others as they follow suit. 

You become a marketer of the LIGHT and become a centre of attraction.

Because of you as a Light, people find hope, direction, transformation, purpose, etc.

Wouldn't that be great?

Additonally, you're pleasing your heavenly Father just doing that.

I heard from a prominent man of God in this nation Nigeria that Light is a currency. With it, you can buy even money. Even wealth can't ignore you not to talk of people.

Men will see it as a privilege to be led by you. See, even this dark world knows they need men who shine this LIGHT in good deeds, wisdom, knowledge, holiness, etc to lead them because they want a better world. They see light carriers as hope "bringers".

Be that person who ignites hope and bring about transformation in people's lives. Be that person people will run to for solution to every dark problem. Be that person that radiates so much Light because of a transformed life.

Be that person.

But you have to first make a step of receiving and abiding in the Light. Let your life, deeds, conduct, speech and the entirety of your person illuminate the LIGHT (Christ the LIGHT) and watch your life become beautiful and the resemblance of God's purpose.

If you're not in Christ, then you are in darkness. You can't shine in this world and be a good lead to others without Christ the true Light.

Receive and know Him today.

Bow your head and say this prayer of salvation.

Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I receive you today as my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me of all my sins as I repent today. I receive Your Spirit and grace over my life.

Thank You Lord for saving me. In Jesus' Name. 

Live your life continuously in Him and you'll enjoy peace.
