MY LITTLE THOUGHTS!!!

I read something that kept me in thoughts for some time now and I saw a new light in it.

"Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat and what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on..." (Matthew 6:25)

These are the questions i asked myself after reading it:
"Is the above scripture saying i should not bother about my life or ensure i make something out of my life?"

• "Does it mean i should just allow life happen to me and accept whatever it brings to my table (my life)"?
I thought it that way because that verse is literally saying, "you know what, just relax. God got you. You don't have to work or stress yourself. He'll take care of you as He does to the birds of the air and lilies of the field. (Vs 26 & 28)."

But same Bible says we should work. The word of God critically downplays laziness and idleness.

"For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat". (2 Thessalonians 3:10).

And in the world's system—as well as God's—you have to work with your hands to eat. You have to make something out of your life. Idleness is never acceptable because it is the attitude of failures and nonchalant fellows.

Now, in other to get things going for yourself, you need to have clear visions for your life and plans to carry them out because letting life just happen to you is a very expensive mistake to make.

So you take proactive steps like:
• Setting clear goals
• Having a growth mindset
• Continuous learning
• Practicing discipline
• Living with purpose and all other beautiful qualities that propels growth and productivity. You do this knowing that intentionality and focus will make your life great.

Beautiful, right?

But, let's rewind to the first scripture.

"Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life..."

So what are we expected to do with this?

It is simply the term "worry" that makes the difference. There is a vast difference between worrying and planning/executing.

Many, you inclusive, may have been guilty of worrying about your life or the present outcome of it even after planning it out.

When circumstances begin to look tough and our objectives are far from being achieved for any reason, we begin to worry (as humans we are).

But the funny thing about worry is that it often involves thinking about something that may go wrong or imagining negative outcomes, even if they haven't occured yet. That's just what it means. Your worry, my worry DOES NOT EVEN EXIST.

All the 'what if's' that scavages our hearts with doubt and crippling our faith in God is our greatest enemy in this regard. The things we worry about is a non existing scavanger that our imagination/mind created. They don't exist.

You have planned out your life. You're executing your plans. You're working out something for your life—maybe learning a skill, growing a business, planning a new business, pursuing a career or degree, etc.. that's very beautiful. But, you have to ensure that worry dosen't intrude and interupts your journey on the long run because it alone can throw you off balance, big time! It can bring in fear, depression and some times, sucidal thoughts depending on the magnitude of worry you've entertained.

You have to drop it, my dear friend. Worrying  will rather cause you more problems than help you. "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature"? (Matthew 6:27).

Instead of adding, it will squeeze every peace and joy you have left. Avoid worrying like you would avoid a poisionous snake.

Challenges are part of life. So, when it comes knocking, don't use its visit as a leverage to start worrying and panicking. Why? Because it will pass away.
It is your attitude towards that challenge that will determine if it will leave or build a new home in your life.

Challenges only makes us wiser and stronger for where we are heading. The challenge you're facing isn't there to crush you but make you. It is for your good. So, there is no need thinking about negative outcomes that hasn't even come yet. You're actually welcoming it that way.

Change your attitude and mindset towards challenges. If the challenges come, believe so strongly that God can help you navigate through. This is where He 'gat' you.

Get something going for yourself while you hold God strongly with your faith in Him. Trust God with your life, your plans, destiny, and objectives. Also let your positivity and optimism be kept alive and watch your life blossom.

So, here's my little thought in a written form.

Stay blessed.
Much love.

A GEN Z PROBLEM

You don't have to be surprised by today's blog title. I can assure you that there are challenges this generation are faced with that the previous generations didn't experience.  Just stay with me on this ride. In case you don't know what Gen Z is, GEN Z (Generation Z) is a term refered to individuals born between 1997 and 2012. It isn't really a professional term used to identify those born in those years but it was coined by few individuals. However, it's use gained wide spread around 2010 to 2015 particularly amongst marketers/advertizers, media outlets, researchers and youngsters especially in social media world. I said something about the previous generation known as the millennials (those born between 1981 to 1996) who didn't really face the problems of the 'Gen Z's. "What could it be? "  Simple, SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE. Prior to the 21st century (2000's), it is recorded that the world was already digitalized but the soci...

NOT JUST THE REGULAR CHRISTIAN

"I'm a very good Christian...a born again Christian at that." "I'm not just a regular Christian because I always go to church and partake in Christian activities." ...and you think that's enough reason to tag you a Christian beyond the ordinary? Please, before thinking you don't fall under the category of a regular Christian, I'd love you to read this article to the end with understanding. In many nations of the world, especially my resident country, Nigeria, many families and individuals acknowledge and believes in Christ which makes them Christians in a literal sense. It may be because it's a "religion" passed down as a family heritage or an influence from family members.  It may be because of christain social influences and networks. It can be exposure to christianity through education or basically for selfish motives (what they can benefit from God). Not all Christians are TRULY Christians in its true context. We ind...
