BUILDING THE DESIRED LIFE EARLY

Before going into the subject of discourse, I want to share a story with you.

I can remember vividly one rainy evening, I stood under a building for shelter awaiting the heavy rain to subside when a man there walked towards me and then engaged me in a conversation with him. While at it, he asked me an intriguing question; "if you were given a hundred thousand Naria, what would you do with it?" Wondering why he asked, i replied, "Well, I would venture into a profitable business with a larger amount of that money then invest on developing my skills (I had skills I wanted to build). He commended my witty response and revealed the reason for asking. According to his statement, he asked a young lady the same question and she said she would change her wardrobe; she would get beautiful clothes, bags, shoes etc or an iPhone.

This story amongst others I've heard made me realise that many young fellows out there gallivants without PURPOSE, VISIONS or PLANS for their lives and future; that's the beginning of nuisance and mediocrity. Some young fellas live off their parents or uncles and aunties all their lives, some seek easy path to make money or achieve success, some doesn't even know what to do with their lives because of lack of direction and orientation which may result them making wrong choices and involving in various vices.

You should understand that the desired future acquired is a product of seeds sown today while you are young. Wisdom demands you plan ahead of time; at your prime time (this is applicable for any project in life) because limitations and restrictions emanates as you age. There are things you can do at your twenties you cannot do at your thirties and things at thirties that can't be achieved at fourties. Life is all about timing. (Ecclesiastes 3:1). So, you possess a greater advantage as a young person to achieve much in life. Do not mess up this opportunity and live to regret it.

Based on the statement about the young lady the man in my story made, the young lady had no BIG plans for her life, she was only after present gratification; how she would give herself pleasures now without knowing that it is the time for investment and building. Without a doubt, getting yourself new clothes, shoes, phone or good things of life is good but not when you are not bouyant enough to afford such luxury neither should it be at the expense of building a bright future.

Rather than thinking who will always give to you or how to make illegal/dirty money or who to hook up with to grant you financial freedom, or means of trying to impress other people, think on how you can stand on your own, how you can build for yourself and others, how you will become relevant and of great value, how you can be a solution to the world's problems.

I believe so much in self development and self investment. Nothing invested in remains valueless.

So start investing now! Success has a process that cannot be maneuvered. Its not gotten cheaply.
Plan your life, have it penned in a book and run with it. (Habakkuk 2:2).

In all, ensure that God is fully involved.

Our next article shall reveal how to build your desired life early. Stay tuned!

God bless you!

AN EYE FOR AN EYE

An eye for an eye is no new idiom. You must have heard of it or use it yourself. Either way, that idiom is something a child of God should never use but apply a different approach to it. An eye for an eye is a language used by those who seek justice (a repay) of wrong(s) or evil done to him or her. But in as much as justice is good and in many cases approved even in scriptures, same scripture gave room for mercy and forgiveness.  Unfortunately, many christians take laws into their hands by "wanting their offenders eye for the eye taken from them". They want to equivalently retaliate for the pain, backstab, hate, gossip or any sort of evil done to them in other to satisfy that hurt. But this is contrary to what Jesus preached. Jesus taught two vital measures you should take for any wrong or mischief done against you.  Before i talk on these two keys, I'd love to reveal what the Holyspirit personally taught me from the book of Ephesians on this subject of reveng...

MY LITTLE THOUGHTS!!!

I read something that kept me in thoughts for some time now and I saw a new light in it. "Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat and what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on..." (Matthew 6:25) These are the questions i asked myself after reading it: • "Is the above scripture saying i should not bother about my life or ensure i make something out of my life?" • "Does it mean i should just allow life happen to me and accept whatever it brings to my table (my life)"? I thought it that way because that verse is literally saying,  "you know what, just relax. God got you. You don't have to work or stress yourself. He'll take care of you as He does to the birds of the air and lilies of the field. (Vs 26 & 28)." But same Bible says we should work. The word of God critically downplays laziness and idleness. "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: T...

THE POWER OF BROKENESS

Through scriptures and my personal experiences, I've learned that brokenness is powerful. That one act alone can attract so much. It's all there in the Bible. The brokenness i mean here is not just about prostrating and rolling on the floor (though it can be demonstrated that way). I say this because it is possible for someone who isn't broken inwardly to exhibit it outwardly probably for show because people are watching. In as much as brokeness is displayed with the physical act, it should emanate from within. Even scriptures says it. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit..." , it didn't say a broken body. " A broken and a contrite heart — these, O God, you will not despise". (Psalms 51:17). It is the heart (the inward, the motive) God checks before whatever the body displays. Hence, brokenness is the state by which you realize you're nothing without God and the act of opening up yourself to Him and depending on Him for any and ...
