HOW TO STIR UP THE GIFT

Last Friday's article was an introduction of the topic; stir up the gift. Today's article however reveals how it can be stirred up.

You cannot acquire result in whatever endeavour you engage or venture into without laid out principles or guidelines to get your prospective results.

Eventually, nothing will work for you if you don't know how to make it work. So you'll learn how you can stir up the gifts, potentials or talents in you, whether it's working or not.

So, how can you stir up the gift?

JUST SAY YES
In His words, the Holy Spirit ministered this to me some time ago,

"Generations are getting blessed and enjoying the impacts of great men and our fathers (in the faith) because of their yieldness. They yielded to Me and became great blessings."

This revived my consciousness of submitting and yielding to the Holy spirit more. I realized that the more you yield, the more He makes you an object of great transformation and lasting impacts.

He does that by refurbishing you and making you a solution to the world through what He invested in you.

But He can't make you a blessing when you don't say yes to Him. Those hidden gifts will be a waste when you don't first agree to become a vessel of honor (and God hates waste). You have to wave fear goodbye and embrace the courage to express yourself. That was what apostle Paul was trying to tell Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6,7.

"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind".

When you give yourself and the Holy spirit a chance, you become an embodiment of great wonders.

DON'T STARVE IT; IT NEEDS TO BE EXPRESSED.
You first do this by giving it a platform. If there's no platform, create one. A platform is your stage. It's a medium you pass your message or express your gifts to people (because it's always about people. if your gift, talent or potential isn't serving people and God's purpose, then it's useless).

I had a strong desire for writing that lingered for a very long time. But I knew I needed a platform for expression. People out there ought to read the important message burning in my spirit through my pen.

That was what led to using the blogger platform.

You can choose a good platform. Fortunately, we exist in a more advantaged dispensation where technology and social networks/media connect people around the world. People all over the globe can see what you can offer them by just posting contents on your social media handles. Millions of people use social media, so there's so much audience there. Be courageous enough to take bold steps and put something out on people's faces.

If you aren't the online person or you aren't led to use that platform, that's fine. Seek other alternatives. But no excuses are allowed.

Watch the men who were given talents by their master. They never gave excuses rather they sought ways to multiply their talents before the master returned (except the foolish and lazy one).

They sat to brainstorm on how to multiply those talents. The master (Jesus) will definitely return and you'll give account to Him.
So dear, sit down and start planning. But most importantly, allow the Holy spirit lead you. It is better when He leads.

WHY SHOULD I EXPRESS IT?
The expression gives you experiences for bigger projects and assignments. Don't sit down with your hands folded and your legs crossed when a wide range of people need what you have. Start somewhere even with the little mastery you've got, then grow from there.

The days of little beginning are training processes. Even if the resources needed isn't available to express your gift, then begin with the one at your reach. Waiting for all provision or total mastery and perfection of your gift will take forever because mastery/perfection is gotten from frequent practice.

Your gifts are meant to be exercised. If you don't use a gift, it leads to atrophy like the muscles of your body. The more you step out to use it, the more stronger it becomes.

Start small and God will prosper your efforts and allocate you greater opportunities and platforms.

Don't forget prayers, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. With these, you're made for life.

FINAL WORDS
Trying times will meet you along the way. It's not always easy during the process but what will keep you going is your convictions about WHO YOU ARE, WHAT YOU ARE DOING and WHY YOU ARE DOING IT.

Don't give up.

God loves and wants you and He's equally interested in bringing the best out of you only if you let Him. You can't prosper without Him neither can you maximise your potentials to the fullest if He isn't present in your life.

So, if you don't have Christ at the center of your heart, repent today and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He won't just make you His own, He'll make something so great out of you.

Confess and recieve Him today.

Let's pray!

Bow your head and say this prayer of salvation.

Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I receive you today as my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me of all my sins as I repent today. I receive Your Spirit and grace over my life.
Thank You Lord for saving me. In Jesus' Name.

Live your life continuously in Him and you'll enjoy peace and fulfillment.

God bless you.

MY LITTLE THOUGHTS!!!

I read something that kept me in thoughts for some time now and I saw a new light in it. "Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat and what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on..." (Matthew 6:25) These are the questions i asked myself after reading it: • "Is the above scripture saying i should not bother about my life or ensure i make something out of my life?" • "Does it mean i should just allow life happen to me and accept whatever it brings to my table (my life)"? I thought it that way because that verse is literally saying,  "you know what, just relax. God got you. You don't have to work or stress yourself. He'll take care of you as He does to the birds of the air and lilies of the field. (Vs 26 & 28)." But same Bible says we should work. The word of God critically downplays laziness and idleness. "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: T...

A GEN Z PROBLEM

You don't have to be surprised by today's blog title. I can assure you that there are challenges this generation are faced with that the previous generations didn't experience.  Just stay with me on this ride. In case you don't know what Gen Z is, GEN Z (Generation Z) is a term refered to individuals born between 1997 and 2012. It isn't really a professional term used to identify those born in those years but it was coined by few individuals. However, it's use gained wide spread around 2010 to 2015 particularly amongst marketers/advertizers, media outlets, researchers and youngsters especially in social media world. I said something about the previous generation known as the millennials (those born between 1981 to 1996) who didn't really face the problems of the 'Gen Z's. "What could it be? "  Simple, SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE. Prior to the 21st century (2000's), it is recorded that the world was already digitalized but the soci...

NOT JUST THE REGULAR CHRISTIAN

"I'm a very good Christian...a born again Christian at that." "I'm not just a regular Christian because I always go to church and partake in Christian activities." ...and you think that's enough reason to tag you a Christian beyond the ordinary? Please, before thinking you don't fall under the category of a regular Christian, I'd love you to read this article to the end with understanding. In many nations of the world, especially my resident country, Nigeria, many families and individuals acknowledge and believes in Christ which makes them Christians in a literal sense. It may be because it's a "religion" passed down as a family heritage or an influence from family members.  It may be because of christain social influences and networks. It can be exposure to christianity through education or basically for selfish motives (what they can benefit from God). Not all Christians are TRULY Christians in its true context. We ind...
