JUST A BREATH AWAY

Many (even Christians) are guilty of being so engrossed with the luxuries and pleasantries this world gives and get carried away by it only to forget it is temporal.

This is bad especially for a true Christian–born again– because scripture reveals what we are in this world.
We are pilgrims, passersby, sojourners... etc. (1peter 2:11). We don't belong here, so we aren't meant to get too comfortable in this world.

This however, isn't allocated to Christians alone but every human in existence. The Bible says everything shall one day pass away. (1 peter 1:24).

So, while enjoying life and being so loosed to every passing thing, remember that eternity is just a breath away. There are two destinations and definitely you can't miss one. What determines where you'll end is your life on Earth.

How you lived your life; if you fulfilled purpose and yielded to the spirit of God, if you propagated Christ, if you made use of God's grace provided for you, if you spread the light of Christ... and more is what will matter when you finally leave this earth realm or when Jesus comes.

The way you spend your life span on earth determines your eternal destination once your breath is ceased.

When I talk of how you live, I don't mean a legalistic or moralistic way. I'm talking of the Spirit filled Christian life for Christianity is not about obeying some rules and observing some Christian activities. It's not about being law driven.

It's about being yielded to the Holy spirit such that He controls and directs your life. For those that are led by the Spirit of God are actually true Christians—sons of God (Romans 8:14) not by following rules and laws.

Furthermore, Christianity is neither what many Christians ignorantly term Christianity, just as the illustration the apostle, Paul gave when he said, "should we continue in sin that grace may abide?"

Grace is not a license to continue in sin. That's an abuse of grace. Grace was given to us as a favour and gift from God unto man (the gift of salvation).
So, let's not fall prey to such fallacy concerning grace.

It is only the Holy Spirit in us that is capable of transforming our lives totally to be aligned with God's will. Only He has the power to reform and transform.

He is responsible for growing the fruits of the Spirit in us and activates the life of Christ embedded in our spirit man once born again.
So, if you think you can actually live right (one acceptable unto God) victoriously without the Holy Spirit, you believed a lie.

He's our seal of redemption, our helper and comforter sent by Jesus Christ to help us walk this earth victoriously. Hence, you need the Holy spirit to overcome.

So while you live your life, submit totally to the spirit of God to enter God's kingdom. Remember, it's just a breath away from eternity. Don't live your life like you own it. It belongs to a Supreme being–God Almighty.

Cease from every unholy act, decease from every act of wickedness. Lying, sex before and outside marriage, backstabbing a neighbor or friend, speaking ill words against another, hatred for another human, bitterness and malice, strife and everything sinful only forms an ugly and disastrous destiny for you —eternal destruction.

There are two paths laid before you. I beesech you therefore, that you choose the right path of unending, unfathomable bliss by re-patterning your life according God's word and be totally dependent on His spirit.

Receive Christ today if you haven't. Bow your head now and make a prayer of repentance as you welcome Christ in your heart.

Walk daily by the Spirit and you won't gratify the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16).

God bless you.

AN EYE FOR AN EYE

An eye for an eye is no new idiom. You must have heard of it or use it yourself. Either way, that idiom is something a child of God should never use but apply a different approach to it. An eye for an eye is a language used by those who seek justice (a repay) of wrong(s) or evil done to him or her. But in as much as justice is good and in many cases approved even in scriptures, same scripture gave room for mercy and forgiveness.  Unfortunately, many christians take laws into their hands by "wanting their offenders eye for the eye taken from them". They want to equivalently retaliate for the pain, backstab, hate, gossip or any sort of evil done to them in other to satisfy that hurt. But this is contrary to what Jesus preached. Jesus taught two vital measures you should take for any wrong or mischief done against you.  Before i talk on these two keys, I'd love to reveal what the Holyspirit personally taught me from the book of Ephesians on this subject of reveng...

MY LITTLE THOUGHTS!!!

I read something that kept me in thoughts for some time now and I saw a new light in it. "Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat and what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on..." (Matthew 6:25) These are the questions i asked myself after reading it: • "Is the above scripture saying i should not bother about my life or ensure i make something out of my life?" • "Does it mean i should just allow life happen to me and accept whatever it brings to my table (my life)"? I thought it that way because that verse is literally saying,  "you know what, just relax. God got you. You don't have to work or stress yourself. He'll take care of you as He does to the birds of the air and lilies of the field. (Vs 26 & 28)." But same Bible says we should work. The word of God critically downplays laziness and idleness. "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: T...

THE POWER OF BROKENESS

Through scriptures and my personal experiences, I've learned that brokenness is powerful. That one act alone can attract so much. It's all there in the Bible. The brokenness i mean here is not just about prostrating and rolling on the floor (though it can be demonstrated that way). I say this because it is possible for someone who isn't broken inwardly to exhibit it outwardly probably for show because people are watching. In as much as brokeness is displayed with the physical act, it should emanate from within. Even scriptures says it. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit..." , it didn't say a broken body. " A broken and a contrite heart — these, O God, you will not despise". (Psalms 51:17). It is the heart (the inward, the motive) God checks before whatever the body displays. Hence, brokenness is the state by which you realize you're nothing without God and the act of opening up yourself to Him and depending on Him for any and ...
