WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

It's amazing how the scriptures tells a lot of wonderful things about us – our position in Christ, alongside the numerous benefits we are bound to enjoy while standing in these positions. It is truly amazing. God's Word reveals who we truly are as Christians, not some sort of negative perceptions imbibed in us through traditions, culture, environment, trends, or the picture the world or the devil paints for us to believe and follow. It is not just the biological, racial, or cultural identity we hold in this world. No! It is much more than that. Our true identity is found in God's word. It holds the revelation of our selfhood. Assuredly, No book in the world can unfold as much as the Word can.   And that is why I'll be showing you from scriptures through the wisdom of the Holy spirit the few identity function you occupy as a child of God. (I say few because I can't possibly exhaust the entire knowledge here. It's a broad one). So, if you're having...

HOW POSSIBLE IS PURITY IN A PERVERSE WORLD?

We live in a world where premarital sex, lust, and diverse sexual vices are thrown at us on the face. Sensual pictures, movies and music that promotes and instigates pornography, masturbation, lesbianism, homosexuality, adultery, rape, lust, etc are rampant, virtually everywhere. It takes advance discipline and utmost reverend for God to be able to resist it. When you access the internet, its there. When you read through some magazines, its there. What about the television compiled with various TV channels with different commercials, ads, movies, operas, shows, etc, it is in its abundance.  These days, almost everything we view promotes lust. Even ads; mere ads. Those that value their christian faith and purity can't even watch television in peace. You'll have to keep changing and switching channels to guide your eyes against scenes that defiles the mind. Even the streets are cluttered with immodestly dressed women and men. They are on every sidewalk and every corne...

GOD IS COMMITTED TO YOUR SAFETY: An Experience

Last Sunday's service sparked in my memory an experience I had with a cultist few months back. The sermon, "THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS ANGELS OF PROSPERITY" by my mentor, Pastor Victor Akah cemented my belief in God's total protection, the ministry of His angels and the consciousness of their presence in my life. However, I want to show you by the spirit and my experience that God never fails to protect and deliver those who are His.  It was on a Saturday evening. The weather; beautiful, fit for evangelism. I walked a distance then followed a shortcut that would make my journey to the church hall easier before setting out for evangelism with brethren. It was round 4:30 pm.  As I walked into the street, getting closer to its end as to reach the express road, I heard a man whistle at me, " Hello, fine girl, stop". I thought it was just one of those guys by the road side that have nothing to tell a young girl but to ask for her name and number, so I ig...

THE OUTLOOK OF ARROGANCE

Arrogance can be perceived. It obviously has an outlook. A person with arrogance can be spotted easily. And that's what you'll find out in today's article.  Let's first look at its origin. ORIGIN OF ARROGANCE Scripture says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So, first of all, I'll love to establish the fact that arrogance is a state of heart.  Whatever you say tells so much about the state of your heart. If you are a deceptive person at heart filled with deception, it will surely reflect on your actions and speech. If you are impure at heart either sexually or morally, one can perceive that from you. So is arrogance. This is how it works; arrogance comes from the heart, expresses itself through the mouth and ends in action. So, to deal with arrogance, you'll have to deal with the heart which is the origin. In other to gain more clarity on the outlook of arrogance, let's see what it really means. DEFINITION OF ARROGANCE Acco...

CAN GOD BE LATE?

We have this tendency as humans to want and get things very quickly especially if it's of great importance. We want immediate answers to prayers, fast results, quick success...everything fast.  So whenever we stumble into an overwhelming challenge, we go to God expecting Him to give us immediate answers and if not given, we get angry and seek other mediums to get the solution. We then assume God is late and doesn't answer prayers fast. If you belong to such category of people, let me burst your bubble now because I saw something in God's word that contradict your claim on this subject using a story in the scripture that illustrates it. Let's look at this story with understanding. Endeavour to read through it very closely because the Holy spirit can minister something to you. "Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.  (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfu...
