YOUR TRUE ENVIRONMENT

I want you to think about this?

What is that one factor in life that you can never do without?

What do you think can enable you survive in this life? Something that if taken away, you stand a chance to loose so much and eventually die in the process?

I ask these questions for you to discern for yourself what you see as your environment because that's what this blog post is about.

An environment in the context of this article is a place where a person or thing can thrive. It is where a person (in this case, you) can prosper even while others can't do much.

Every thing you see in existence today have a specific environment it needs in which their potentials can be exercised and appreciated at the same time.

Fishes can never show its full potential on land or in air. Its unique swimming abilities can't be demonstrated outside water. Anything outside water can limit it to zero level. Additionally, the fish may die in minutes before it can do anything substantial.

Same goes to plants on land. It will never produce fruits or vegetables outside the earth/ground.

Even micro organisms have an environment they can survive in and be very productive (your body is an environment for many bacteria and microbes). Once something takes them out of there, very little productivity which eventually leads to death is inevitable.

So, what then is our environment?

I can guess that when I asked those questions in the introduction, you might be quick to say money.

Many have this distorted mindset that money is everything they need in life. They justify it by saying, "money answers all things" found in the bible. It's true that money can provide a lot of convenience and restrain you from any form of hardship or struggle that beats many on the path of life.

But let me burst your bubble.

In as much as money is good and can provide luxury, it is never the ultimate thing you need. Luxury is not your true environment. It's just an addition to amplify the environment. It's like building your house and then putting things in it to make it look good. That's what luxury does. The house and the decoration aren't of the same importance.

But many make the mistake of pursuing interior and exterior decor without a house to live in. Isn't that madness?
You build a house to live in first before thinking about interior and exterior decor.

Look at God Himself and the order of creation. God as the all wise God made everything according to order of importance. Before anything was made, He first called forth light knowing other things coming first will create a mess...Even as God, creation came to form orderly and creatively.  The things that make this earth so beautiful with jaw dropping sceneries and nature (beautiful species of trees and plants, the mountains and plains, the oceans and waterfall, etc) came later.

I want you to see something unique about environments in creation and its habitants.
After God created every environment, God then spoke to those environment to produce its habitants suitable for the various environment. That's why when the habitants are taken from their respective environment, they die. When a plant is rooted out from the ground, it dies. When a fish is taken out of the water, it can never be productive. It dies.

For a tree or plant, cutting it from its stem or branch doesn't kill the tree itself. That part that has been injured or cut off grows back because it's still connected to its natural environment.

This applies to mankind...to you. YOUR environment is not a thing or place but an Entity. That's God Almighty. That's where you originate from. God spoke to Himself before He made you as He spoke to the land to produce trees and to the water to produce sea creatures. See Genesis 1:20-26.

When you're rooted out from God completely by choosing sin, the ways of the devil without a relationship with God, you are already dead. You may be alive in the body (of which will still die) but you're dead spiritually. Man wasn't supposed to die either physically or spiritually. It was when Adam allowed his root to be yanked out of God that introduced death.

So, what you need first is YOUR TRUE ENVIRONMENT.  Not a decor. You need God if you must thrive in life. It is only in God your true potentials can be seen and appreciated. It is only in God you can experience true success and fulfilment not in money or possessions.  You can get all that while still in God because He can give it. But seek what truly matters first.

Additionally, even if you get wounded emotionally, physically, spiritually, financially, etc by the schemes of the wicked or the stones life itself throws at you, you'll always be healed and shielded because you have God who is always rich in the nutrients you need to survive and become brand new.

Dear child of God, you contemplating to "leave this God", makes you no different from a person who is having suicidal thoughts. Leaving God will kill you spiritually, kill your potentials, your purpose, and the fulfilment you get in God.

It may not look it at first just as it takes some time for a tree that has been uprooted to die. Even a fish that leaves water don't die immediately. The effect of your bad decision may not be evident immediately but it'll surely tell later. Please, be wise.

If you are not in Jesus and have no relationship with Him, you're doing yourself a great harm. And the devil will continue to do everything in his power to ensure you don't see it. Don't give him that chance.

Make peace with Jesus today.

Psalm 125:1 says, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving".

God bless you.

MY DEADLY FRIEND

I had this friend I never knew was a foe till I understood its deadly traits.   The worst part?? I feed it myself unknowingly. Imagine feeding what kills you slowly. No, it's not an external being or thing but comes from within.  And no, it's not personal to me but a generic problem amongst millions of people out there. Comparison! Yes, comparison! It shows itself through three different forms :  Emotions , c ommunication   and   Identity . You would agree with me that these forms can also be components that constitute friendship. This is to elaborate how comparison poses as a friend while stating its significant harm. THE EMOTIONS INVOLVED  Some people think of comparison as a tool for growth. I mean, if other people's success and progress can keep you awake and thinking all the time, then you would want to do better. That's what you think, right?  Comparison would surely give you a lot of motivational lines like: "If my friend can do this, i can do i...

MY LITTLE THOUGHTS!!!

I read something that kept me in thoughts for some time now and I saw a new light in it. "Therefore i say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat and what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on..." (Matthew 6:25) These are the questions i asked myself after reading it: • "Is the above scripture saying i should not bother about my life or ensure i make something out of my life?" • "Does it mean i should just allow life happen to me and accept whatever it brings to my table (my life)"? I thought it that way because that verse is literally saying,  "you know what, just relax. God got you. You don't have to work or stress yourself. He'll take care of you as He does to the birds of the air and lilies of the field. (Vs 26 & 28)." But same Bible says we should work. The word of God critically downplays laziness and idleness. "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: T...

WHEN PURPOSE DOESN'T LOOK POPULAR

One of the basic need of humans is to be seen. The need to be wanted, accepted and approved by others. And in our world today, where visibility and popularity often connotes value, walking in the light of purpose can feel lonely and somewhat insignificant. It seems like everyone is moving faster, shining brighter, and getting noticed.  On the other hand, you who seek to live in obedience to God's instruction per time  don't draw attention. Your purpose looks slow, hidden, or even strange to others. What happens then? The truth is, God’s purpose for your life won’t always look popular. Sometimes, He calls you to build when no one else understands what you’re building. He calls you to walk a path that doesn’t make sense to the crowd. That's not really comforting, right? But understand that there's a difference between living for purpose and living for popularity. Purpose is about fulfilling God’s assignment for your life. It’s about obedience, faith, and surrender. Wheth...
