PREPARING YOUR WAY FOR THE NEW YEAR

It's exciting to know that we're wrapping up with 2022. The new year is around the corner, just a few days from now. We are thankful that we're alive to know this excitement.

You're supposed to be excited because not everyone who began the year with you is alive today to have this experience. So we thank God for that privilege. And we'll live to see the upcoming year and all it promises.

Now, speaking of what the upcoming year promises, have you asked how you can get into those promises? Cause I know you're really expectant of a better year than this one.

By the way, what does the new year really promise? Can you be able to tell? Well, if the year promises something, it should be beautiful and exciting cause assuredly, it promises good things your way.

And if it does, how can it be harnessed, maximized and used for your advantage? How can you avoid being disadvantaged and victimized as you probably were this year and the past years?

Well...

I have some friendly advice for you on how you can prepare for the nice packages that awaits in the upcoming new year.

First off, I'd love you to know that...

DECEMBER ISN'T ALL ABOUT CELEBRATION

"What does she mean"? You might ask, because I know you're preparing to do lots of choppings, have fun and chill with friends and family in celebration of this festive season. That's very good. I'm not against it one bit.

BUT...

That's not all there is to do at the end of the year, dear friend.

Only ordinary people over celebrate and forget themselves and what have to be done.

While you celebrate, remember you have another 365 days before you to make something spectacular out of it, to make a difference, to improve on your life in every sphere (financially, spiritually, lifestyle-wise and otherwise) and to make your aspirations a reality.

Or do you want to experience failures again?

If you misuse these remaining days you have left which is meant for planning and preparing, you'll be causing delay to your progress.

What am I saying in essence?

Eat, drink, be merry with all good cheer but with purpose in mind for what lies ahead. After the celebration, sit and plan. You don't have to wait for next year before planning it out.

Some people see this season of the year as a time for retreat. They deny themselves food and pleasure just to prepare for the next year (both physically and spiritually), and you think they're being stupid or too serious by doing so? Don't think they don't know what they're doing. They're actually clearing and preparing their path. It won't harm you to retreat for sometime in other to have the next year settled before walking into it. Besides, the sacrifice is worth it. It's your future we're talking about here.

Plan and prepare cause great things come to those who prepare for it. Sit with God, a book and a pen.

Secondly...

YOU MADE PLANS FOR THIS YEAR(2022), RIGHT? 'HOWFAR'

I'm sure you had new year resolutions and goals for 2022. Now, it is only a few days away to wave the year goodbye. Ask yourself, was I able to achieve all my objectives? Did I make use of my time well or wasted it in frivolities?

Use this time to reflect on your past decisions, actions and even what you didn't do which you're supposed to.

Count what you achieved and what you couldn't achieve. You can start your plans for the next year with what you couldn't accomplish this year before setting new ones. Don't let the past failures repeat itself.

Thirdly...

IT'S TIME FOR RESHUFFLING

When I talk of reshuffling, I talk of reshuffling everything. Rearrange and reorganize everything concerning your life. Your friends, lifestyle, habits. Adopt a filter to filter out negative obsessions.

There are lots of amendments to make, ranging from personal habits to your relationship with people. You can start from what you desire to change in and around you like cutting off on your ferocious eating habits, working on your anger issues or becoming more hygiene conscious. It can be anything.

Remember to have all your goals written on a plain sheet of paper (book) in other to have what to work with. Thinking it isn't enough because you will always forget some of them. Writing every single thing down gives you a target; what to focus on and serves as a reminder to you whenever you feel like giving up. It is a vision and a plan when it is written not when it still fluctuate in your thoughts.

And lastly...

STAY GLUED AND OBSESSED WITH YOUR PLANS

Don't give up on your new year's resolution even before January elapses as some people do. This is as a result of their weak will or lack of determination and focus. Be determined to finish all you laid for yourself.

Please, also note that you should make plans with precision. Don't over write what you cannot fulfill. That's one of the reasons people stop working towards their goals before even crossing to February.

Be precise and intentional. Ambiguous goals may never get accomplished because it will wear you out and lead you to discouragement. It is better to write out three major things to accomplish than writing a hundred of objectives that cannot be done.

And one more thing, take it one step at a time. Don't be too hard on yourself. For the fact it didn't work at first trial doesn't mean it never will. Take your step in bits until full accomplishment. Very important.

If keeping up with your plans is difficult for you, get an accountability partner. Someone you can be accounted to. Someone who can always check up on you to monitor your progress and encourages you when you're wearied. This will help with procrastination, discouragement and lack of determination.

LAST WORDS

Every day, week, month and year counts as you journey towards your destiny. And mind you, your decisions (what you choose to do with your life, even the littlest ones) moulds your destiny. Your life presently is a product of your decisions yesterday.

Someone told you, "You are destined for greatness" doesn't mean you cannot die a failure. What differentiates success from failures are the decisions they made and steps they either took or neglected.

So, success is a choice. Failure is a choice. God won't come down from heaven to make you great. You have to take steps in accordance to God's will to become the great man/woman you're meant to be. Greatness and success doesn't have to be prophesied for it to happen. You have to work and walk your way into it.

I assure you, all I've written to you in this article is a great way to beautify your life this upcoming year.

Begin now!

Don't forget to carry His (Christ) presence with you always. He makes the whole thing easy and beautiful for you.

Cheers to a glorious 2023.

If you haven't made Jesus your friend, Savior and Lord, do it now.

Say this prayer of salvation:
Lord Jesus, come into my life. I receive you today as Lord and Savior over me. I believe you died and rose for my sins and I repent of them today. I receive you now. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Live continuously and consciously in Christ by His Spirit. You are a seed of success.

Jesus loves you.

HOW POSSIBLE IS PURITY IN A PERVERSE WORLD?

We live in a world where premarital sex, lust, and diverse sexual vices are thrown at us on the face. Sensual pictures, movies and music that promotes and instigates pornography, masturbation, lesbianism, homosexuality, adultery, rape, lust, etc are rampant, virtually everywhere. It takes advance discipline and utmost reverend for God to be able to resist it. When you access the internet, its there. When you read through some magazines, its there. What about the television compiled with various TV channels with different commercials, ads, movies, operas, shows, etc, it is in its abundance.  These days, almost everything we view promotes lust. Even ads; mere ads. Those that value their christian faith and purity can't even watch television in peace. You'll have to keep changing and switching channels to guide your eyes against scenes that defiles the mind. Even the streets are cluttered with immodestly dressed women and men. They are on every sidewalk and every corne...

HE WAITS FOR IT

I love that feeling I get when a person who seeks my downfall gets so disappointed as a result of his planned scheme against me being totally frustrated. I really do love it. It communicates that I can't be touched, harmed or disadvantaged by the enemy. It makes the fact about God being with me evident to me. I'm certain Jesus had that satisfactory feeling when He overcame the temptations the devil brought His way during His retreat in the wilderness. Imagine being highly tempted three times around the same time and all temptations are in sync with the desires of the flesh. However, Jesus overcame him with a simple tactics..." by the words of their testimony" ( Revelation   12:11).  Until tomorrow, this strategy is most relevant for overcoming any hurdle, challenge or temptation. How does this correlate with today's article; HE WAITS FOR IT? Luke speaks of a reality Jesus experienced and every Christian equally experiences.   See this: "Now when t...

AN EYE FOR AN EYE

An eye for an eye is no new idiom. You must have heard of it or use it yourself. Either way, that idiom is something a child of God should never use but apply a different approach to it. An eye for an eye is a language used by those who seek justice (a repay) of wrong(s) or evil done to him or her. But in as much as justice is good and in many cases approved even in scriptures, same scripture gave room for mercy and forgiveness.  Unfortunately, many christians take laws into their hands by "wanting their offenders eye for the eye taken from them". They want to equivalently retaliate for the pain, backstab, hate, gossip or any sort of evil done to them in other to satisfy that hurt. But this is contrary to what Jesus preached. Jesus taught two vital measures you should take for any wrong or mischief done against you.  Before i talk on these two keys, I'd love to reveal what the Holyspirit personally taught me from the book of Ephesians on this subject of reveng...

A GEN Z PROBLEM

You don't have to be surprised by today's blog title. I can assure you that there are challenges this generation are faced with that the previous generations didn't experience.  Just stay with me on this ride. In case you don't know what Gen Z is, GEN Z (Generation Z) is a term refered to individuals born between 1997 and 2012. It isn't really a professional term used to identify those born in those years but it was coined by few individuals. However, it's use gained wide spread around 2010 to 2015 particularly amongst marketers/advertizers, media outlets, researchers and youngsters especially in social media world. I said something about the previous generation known as the millennials (those born between 1981 to 1996) who didn't really face the problems of the 'Gen Z's. "What could it be? "  Simple, SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE. Prior to the 21st century (2000's), it is recorded that the world was already digitalized but the soci...

GOD IS COMMITTED TO YOUR SAFETY: An Experience

Last Sunday's service sparked in my memory an experience I had with a cultist few months back. The sermon, "THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS ANGELS OF PROSPERITY" by my mentor, Pastor Victor Akah cemented my belief in God's total protection, the ministry of His angels and the consciousness of their presence in my life. However, I want to show you by the spirit and my experience that God never fails to protect and deliver those who are His.  It was on a Saturday evening. The weather; beautiful, fit for evangelism. I walked a distance then followed a shortcut that would make my journey to the church hall easier before setting out for evangelism with brethren. It was round 4:30 pm.  As I walked into the street, getting closer to its end as to reach the express road, I heard a man whistle at me, " Hello, fine girl, stop". I thought it was just one of those guys by the road side that have nothing to tell a young girl but to ask for her name and number, so I ig...
