IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S YOUR TRIGGERS.

You sit down to do something important—study, write, plan, pray—and ten minutes in, you're already scrolling, snacking, or thinking about something completely different. You tell yourself, “I’m lazy… I have no discipline… I’ll never stay focused.” But here’s the truth: It’s not you. It’s your triggers. You probably have personal pursuits, purpose or goals you should get busy with but there are factors—an environment, persons or habits—that shifts your focus. Here's the same truth: it's not you. It's the triggers. Distractions don’t just appear out of nowhere. Something activates them. Maybe a  sound. A notification. A feeling. A memory. A habit. A clique. An environment. And once that trigger hits, you’re already halfway down the road to losing focus. For example:  You feel stuck while studying, you grab your phone “just to check something.” Your brain feels tired while working or studying, so you suddenly crave snacks or open Tiktok or Instagram to unwi...

KEPT AWAY FROM GOD, YET UNNOTICED

If the devil wants to pull you away from God, he wouldn't need to show up with horns and fire neither would he come to you with outright denial. No, that's too obvious.  He’d be subtle, clever, and quiet. He’d use everyday life. He’d twist the good into distractions, and sin into freedom. He wouldn’t scare you — he’d SOOTHE YOU into separation from God in a way that seems harmless on the outside but destroying you from inside out. And you know what subtle individuals do: they cook up a well planned scheme, waits for your weakest moments and strike! We have to be conscious of the devil's devices and how he'll use it to slowly but effectively take us away from God. (2 Corinthians 2:11) 1.
